Push back racks offer close to the same high-density storage as Drive-In Racking, but with greater selectivity. All loads are stored and retrieved from the aisle without the need for specialized forklifts, and without the forklift having to enter into the racking, reducing damages. Push back racking systems support high-density storage when bulk stacking is not feasible due to potential product damage.\u00a0<\/p>

Push back racking is typically limited to 6 pallets deep and does not require the forklift to enter the racks. A Push back racking system is a premium high-density storage option for warehouse applications experiencing either product damage, and\/or limitations to stacking height with bulk-stack operations.\u00a0<\/p>

  • Reduced Product Damage:<\/strong>\u00a0 Pallets are loaded on push back carts and protected by the structure of the steel system itself, resulting in reduced product damage. Rack damage is reduced, relative to drive-in racking as lift equipment only interfaces with the very outside of the racks.<\/li>
  • Space Efficiency:<\/strong> Vertically, Push back racking can be designed to take advantage of unused clear height, and can be configured up to 6 pallets deep, reducing the number of aisles.<\/li>
  • Perishable Items:\u00a0<\/strong> Push back is most commonly used in industries where products have a longer shelf life and do not require strict rotation. Larger push-back systems, can be designed to yield FIFO depending on an operators volumes per SKU<\/li>
