Store-Rite Drive-in racking is a relatively economical high-density storage option for warehouse applications experiencing either product damage, and/or limitations with respect to stacking height in bulk-stack operations.
- Reduced Product Damage: Pallets are loaded on rails and protected by the structure of the steel system itself, resulting in reduced product damage.
- Space Efficiency: Vertically, Drive-in racking can be designed to take advantage of unused clear height, and can be configured up to 10+ pallets deep, reducing the number of aisles.
- Perishable Items: Drive-in racking is most commonly used in industries where products have a longer shelf life and do not require strict rotation. However, larger operations using larger push-back systems, can be designed to yield FIFO depending on an volumes and pick rates per SKU
- Order Picking: Due to its configuration, Drive-in racking is only suitable to full-pallet order picking.
